I love fall: crisp leaves falling everywhere, warm fuzzy sweaters, hot apple cider, fresh morning air and the best season for beauty. Fall has it all. Although we commonly like to associate fall with being “basic,” the only reason it got to its infamous basic status is because literally EVERYONE loves fall. The second the weather started cooling down, I got excited to whip out my berry lips and don some warmer eyeshadows. In the spirit of the season, I’ve perfected my go-to everyday fall makeup look for this year. It’s quick, easy and simplistic (yet sophisticated); all you need is a cozy scarf and apple cider in hand to complete the look.
This TooFaced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer has been my go-to all summer, and with the colder, dry weather I know I’m going to stick with it through winter.
The IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream is so perfect for everyday use. I like to warm it between my fingers and apply liberally to my entire face.
After foundation (or before foundation if I have any blemishes), I like to go in and cover up redness and dark circles with this soft NYX HD Photo Concealer. It’s a total dupe for NARS creamy concealer.
I’ve been weaning myself off of powdering my entire face because it really doesn’t do my dry skin justice, but I still like to set my under-eyes and blemishes with a light dusting of the bareMinerals bareSkin Perfecting Veil.
This blush is PERFECT for fall. I like to dab a little bit on my cheeks and rub it in with my fingers. Because the Pixi by Petra MultiBalm in “Wild Rose” for cheeks at Pixi Beauty is a multistick, it works lovely as a lip pigment too! I got this multistick for free when I went to Beautycon NYC recently, and I was also featured on Pixi’s Instagram. Check it out here!
- Finishing Spray
I recently switched to this Wet n Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray finishing spray because I’ve heard so many beauty bloggers and bloggers rave about it. It deserves the hype. I love this setting spray. The mist isn’t too overwhelming, which I love. For under $5, it’s a steal.
All day, every day, no matter what season. I love the NYX Micro Brow Pencil.
As it gets windier, I need my brows to stay put. I love how the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel really glues your brows into place.
When it comes to eye shadow, I think that a soft gold is just perfect for the season. I love “Dirtysweet” shadow, from the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette because it’s not a jarring gold and can be applied to the whole lid for a really beautiful effect. I like to go in with “Cornelious” ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in the crease (it was one of my August favorites, and still is!) to warm up the lid and blend away harsh lines.
As mentioned in my recent September favorites, I’ve been using this Kat Von D tattoo liner in “Trooper” everyday. For fall, I like swiping it in a thin line that gets slightly larger at the outer end with no flick necessary. The control this liner gives you is insane.
This Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Mascara has been one of my favorites for years. It’s very buildable (and it’s organic which is great for people with sensitive lashes like me!). For an everyday fall look, a few coats of it on the top and a small coat on the bottom is effortless and so pretty.
The cherry on top of this everyday look is without a doubt this Clinique Almost Lipstick in “Black Honey.” I completely forgot about it until I saw it in my lipstick drawer the other day, and I knew it was going to be perfect all season long. This faint berry color is super moisturizing (Clinique calls it an ‘almost’ lipstick because it feels more like a balm than a lipstick). Stay tuned – it will most likely be one of my monthly favorites.
